Each movie clip is accompanied by a transcript, extensive glossary, and computer-generated listening comprehension questions. If you want to improve your writing skills further, you will find general essay questions for each film that will deepen your knowledge of Polish culture, history, and politics. These essay questions can be also used in class to initiate discussion, thus targeting speaking skills.
The project includes clips and tasks from eight films – four of them were made under communism and four after the transition of 1989. If you proceed by working with the movies in chronological order, you will also learn how Polish cinema itself has transitioned throughout the past 60+ years.
