The third annual Summer Institute for Instructors of Slavic
and East European Languages took place from July 8-17, 2002
on the campuses of Duke University and the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Topics included:
the use of technology in the language classroom,
using computer technologies to create pedagogical materials,
teaching film and culture,
integrating heritage students in the classroom,
creating accessible materials for all students in the classroom
and on the internet,
internet resources for Slavic and East European language teachers,
and
sharing of participants' ideas and experiences, including the
development of a personal project during the course of the
Institute.
